The cat, commonly referred to as the domestic cat or house cat, is a small domesticated carnivorous mammal. It is the only domesticated species of the family Felidae. Recent advances in archaeology and genetics have shown that the domestication of the cat occurred in the Near East around 7500 BC.

Pragyan (Sanskrit: प्रज्ञान, romanized: prajñāna, lit. wisdom Pronunciation was the rover of Chandrayaan-2 and is the rover for the Chandrayaan-3 mission, two lunar missions developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Chandrayaan-2 launched on 22 July 2019.

Pragyan was destroyed along with its lander, Vikram, when it crash-landed on the Moon on 6 September 2019 and never got the chance to deploy. The launch of Chandrayaan-3 occurred on 14 July 2023, at 2:35 pm IST, and landed on the Moon on 23 August 2023.

The 26kg rover called Pragyaan (the Sanskrit word for wisdom) was carried to the Moon in the Vikram lander's belly.

It was landed on Moon 23/08/2023 at 6.04pm.
After landing 24/08/2023, panels on one side of Vikram opened to deploy a ramp to enable Pragyaan to slide down to the lunar surface.

It will now roam around the rocks and craters, gathering crucial data and images to be sent back to Earth for analysis.

Pragyaan is carrying two scientific instruments which will try to find out what minerals are present on the lunar surface and study the chemical composition of the soil.

Pragyaan will communicate only with the lander which will send the information to the orbiter from Chandrayaan-2 - which is still circling the Moon - to pass it on to the Earth for analysis.

The World Health Organisation has a new naming system, using the Greek alphabet, for coronavirus variants of concern. The Delta variant was previously known as the “Indian variant”, as it was first found in India. It's one of three sub-lineages of the Indian variant, and is also known as B.1.617.

"UK variant" B.1.1.7 and "South African variant" B.1.351, the "Indian variant" B.1.617 is another variation of the virus that causes COVID-19. the variant was first identified in Maharashtra, India, in October,and spread to more than 40 other countries, including Australia.

A study by researchers from the National Institute of Virology in Pune, the Indian Council of Medical Research and vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech has found that Covaxin is effective against the Beta and Delta variants of Covid-19.

A preliminary study conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Delhi claimed that the presence of COVID-19 Delta variant (B1.617.2) is predominantly found even after getting a single dose or both doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

The study included 63 people who got breakthrough infections; of which 36 patients received two doses, while 27 had received one dose of vaccine.

236 million doses of the COVID vaccine have been given in India. More than 45 million people have received 2 doses of the vaccine and are considered fully vaccinated.

Nov 26, 2022 PSLV-54

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch PSLV-54/EOS-06 mission with Oceansat-3 and eight nano statellites on board from Sriharikota spaceport.

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C54) will launch the satellites at 11.56 a.m. (Today Nov 26,2022) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The EOS-6 is a third-generation satellite in the Oceansat series of satellites.

The INS-2B spacecraft will have two payloads namely NanoMx and APRS-Digipeater.
While the NanoMx is a multi-spectral optical imaging payload developed by Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, the APRS-Digipeater payload has been jointly developed by the Department of Information Technology and Telecom-Bhutan and the UR Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru.

March 2023: The state government of Tamil Nadu, in its budget, allocated funds to Coimbatore metro on Monday. Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan stated that the government plans to allocate approximately Rs 9000 Crores to the Coimbatore metro rail project.

The announcement was made by finance minister Palanivel Thiaga rajan during his budget speech inn the assembly.

Coimbatore Metro will be divided into three phases according to the full project report. Two corridors have been planned in the first phase, with the first connecting Vellalore Bus Terminal to PSG Foundry through Ukkadam Bus Stand and offering airport line connectivity from Park Plaza (totally covering 31.73 km).

The Collectorate Metro will be connected to Valliyum Palayam Pirivu via the second corridor ( 14.13 km).
The Collectorate Metro will be the connecting station for these lines, and it will most likely be built in the Collectorate's eastern end. A brief description of each phase is discussed below.
